This is a relatively large and chuky pendant with an overall length of 3.8cm and a width of 2.9cm. The body is curved to achieve a three dimensional effect, and the upturned U-shaped gap at the base is set with a blue opal from the Lightning Ridge mines in New South Wales. The stone itself is a fair size. It is oval in shape and is 1.5cm long and 8mm wide. Its background colour is blue and it displays flashes of lighter blue. The back of the pendant is hallmarked for Edinburgh 2019. It is an item which will not fail to be noticed.
