To make this pendant I recycled parts of a Victorian mustard spoon, retainig the curve of the bowl and using the handle to make the hanger. I set it with a matrix boulder oapl from the Queensland Quilpie mines. The stone is 1.5cm long and 6mm wide at its widest point. It weighs about 2 and a half carat and displays strong blue colours on its brown matrix background. The entire pendant is 3.1cm long and 2.8cm wide. The back of the hanger is hallmarked for Edinburgh 2016. With a weight of 7,76 grams it is a fairly chunky piece, made in the Arts & Crafts style. It is very eye-catching, but not ostentatious, so that it is equally suitable for day wear and evening wear.
