This is a most unusual, very probably unique creation of a pendant of a horse’s head on a 9Ct gold chain. The horse is expertly carved from a thick chunk of mother of pearl, which has been encased in a gold bridle, complete with blinkers, and a gold hanger. The head measures 2.5cm from the nape to the mouth and 2.7cm from the tip of the ear to the bottom. The pendant is ca, 5mm thick. It must be a bespoke piece, which a jeweller made to order. And it must have been made abroad, because the hallmarks on the hanger consist of symbols I don’t recognise (see photo). But there is no doubt that the metal is gold and I am selling it as such. The chain has full British hallmarks, which, however, are so small that I can only just make out the number 375 among them, which stands for 9 carat gold. There is an additional stamp of 9K on the catch. The chain is 16” (42cm) long, the individual links are 1cm wide, and it weighs 1.93 grams. If you are a horse lover and want an unusual piece of jewellery, you will not find anything like this anywhere else.
