This is a gorgeous vintage diamond ring, which is set with three good sized diamonds in a diagonal line. The central stone has a diameter of 4mm, the two outer ones measure 3mm across. On each of the shoulders there are 3 further small diamonds, which lend extra sparkle to the ring. The entire ring face is 1.5cm long and 6mm high. The stones are set in platinum, the ring shank is made of 18 carat yellow gold. From the stamp inside it is not possible to determine its exact age. It just shows the somewhat worn bottom part of “18 Ct” with “PLAT” (for platinum) written beside it. This type of hallmark and its relatively large size would indicate that this ring dates from the early part of the 20th century. The ring is between size L and M, weighs 2.50 grams and is in excellent condition – a really beautiful quality piece, which must have been very expensive when it was first bought.
