This is a beautiful 9 carat gold bracelet, which is not very old, but made to look like a Victorain piece. The front part of the bracelet is engraved with flowers and foliage, the back has been left plain. The inner dimensions, measured straight across in both directions are 5.2cm and 6cm. The bracelet is 1.2cm high and 3mm thick. The inside is hallmarked for Birmingham 1990 with the maker’s mark of J.S. There is a safety chain around the catch, which still allows the bracelet to be opened wide enough to slip it over your wrist. On the plain half of the bracelet, there is a place with slight surface scratches, and on the outer rim there are two little knocks, one on each side (see close-up photos). These slight flaws are only noticeable on close inspection, but not when the bracelet is worn on your wrist. The bracelet weighs a respectable 17.54 grams and is an impressive piece of fine jewellery.
