This is a beautiful opal ring, which must be either Victorian or more likely Edwardian. It is made of 9 carat gold and is set with 5 graduated opals. The central stone is 6mm long and 4mm wide, the smallest ones on the outsides have a diameter of 3mm. The opals are probably from Coober Pedy, judging from their colour with their white backgrounds and their flashes of pink, green and blue. The entire ring face is 2.3cm long. The inside is stamped 9 Ct, as was the custom in Victorian and Edwardian times. The ring is size L and is in excellent condition.
