This is a Victorian ring, which is made of 15 Carat gold and is set with a central opal, flanked on each side by a sapphire and a diamond. The opal is 3mm in diameter and has a creamy and light blue background with green and pink pin-prick fire. The sapphires have a diameter of 2mm and the diamonds measure 1mm across. Together they form a very attractive 2.2cm long panel across the front of the ring. The decorated shoulders optically extend the feature panel to the sides for as far as you can see the ring on the back of your hand. The inside is hallmarked as 15 carat gold for Chester 1899 with the maker’s initials of H&S. The ring is between size N and O, weighs 2.85 grams and is in excellent condition.
